Movie Openings

"Bangkok dangerous": Kong is a deaf mute, the victim of bullies all his life. He becomes a hit man, which brings power and confidence, and under the wing of another hit man, Joe, he rises in the ranks of the underworld. Opens tomorrow at Restaurant Row Theatres. Thai, with English subtitles. (Not rated, but has violence, foul language and nudity).

"Gosford Park": Robert Altman's Agatha Christie-like murder mystery takes place in an English country house, journeying upstairs and downstairs with an all-star cast. Opens tomorrow at Dole Cannery 18 Theatres, Ward Stadium 16-Plex, Mililani 14-Plex. (R).

"Orange County": A teen flick in which a high school graduate (Colin Hanks, son of Tom) tries to get into Stanford, where his writing hero (Kevin Kline) teaches. Other Hollywood biggies, including Lily Tomlin and John Lithgow, also have supporting roles, along with the newer generation of actors including Jack Black and Schuyler Fisk (daughter of Sissy Spacek).
