Waikiki nightlife, still shaken and wobbly after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, shows signs of coming back. To wit:
The Society of Seven adds a 6:30 p.m. performance Tuesdays and Fridays, starting this week in the Outrigger Waikiki's Main Showroom. The outfit also has Tuesday-Sunday shows at 8:30 p.m.
The Halekulani Hotel's Lewers Lounge, dark after Sept. 11 until the Christmas-New Year's holidays, launches a full week's slate of performers, with weekend regulars Bruce Hamada and Jim Howard moving to Tuesdays-Wednesdays. The rest of the lineup: Rocky Holmes and Lenny Keys on Thursdays, Sonya Mendez on Fridays and Saturdays, Noly Paa on Sundays and Mondays.
Frank DeLima brings his comedy shows back to the mainstream, reopening the Palace of the 'Ohana Reef Towers Hotel, starting Feb. 14 with a Valentine's dinner special.
For Ladies Night, 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays at the Sheraton Waikiki's Hanohano Room, musician John Valentine assembled a cadre of female singers, including Tracie Toguchi, Maila Gibson, Jennifer Barber and Kay Babaran.
