BYUH ends UH-Hilo's 12-game winning streak

Alexus Foyle scored 25 points and Keli'i Naihe added 20 as Brigham Young-Hawai'i ended the University of Hawai'i-Hilo's 12-game winning streak with an 83-79 Pacific West Conference men's basketball victory last night at Cannon Activities Center in La'ie.

Scott Salisbury scored 12 points and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds for the Seasiders, while Yuta Tabuse scored 10 points and distributed nine assists.

Derek Mgbeke had a game-high 29 points for Hawai'i-Hilo.

The Seasiders improved to 10-5 overall and 1-1 in the PacWest.

The Vulcans are 14-3 and 4-1.

HPU 70, Chaminade 69: Nash Subotic was fouled attempting a 3-pointer and converted all three free throws with 12 seconds remaining to lift the Sea Warriors over the Silverswords at McCabe Gym.

Hawai'i Pacific's Nate Block grabbed the rebound after a Silverswords miss to seal the victory.

Subotic scored a game-high 19 points. Jaborri Thomas scored 16 for the Silverswords.

Hawai'i Pacific improved to 10-4 overall and 1-1 in the PacWest.

Chaminade falls to 10-6 and 3-2.
