Championship now at Kapolei

Advertiser Staff

The site has changed for Saturday's O'ahu Interscholastic Association softball championship and third-place games.

The games, originally scheduled to be played at Hawai'i Pacific University's Windward campus, now will be played at Kapolei High School. The third-place game will start at 11 a.m., with the championship game to follow 25 minutes after the third-place game's completion.

OIA softball coordinator Gordon Miyashiro said the change was due to precautions against rain forecast for this weekend. The games will be televised on a delayed basis (at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Saturday) on Oceanic 16.

Admission ($5 for adults, $3 for students) will be charged at Kapolei Saturday.
