Junior Dragster Invitational on tap

The inaugural Junior Dragster Invitational is today and tomorrow at Hawai'i Raceway Park in Kapolei.

Twenty-five teams from Canada's Mission Raceway and Calgary, Alberta, will compete against more than 30 entries from O'ahu and the Neighbor Islands.

Gates open tonight at 6 with testing and tuning and a fun race.

Tomorrow, the gates open at noon, with time trials and team racing.

Team racing will be scored on round-robin competition.

There will also be a "Mom's Race," if time allows.

Drivers from Hawai'i range in age from 8-17 and must have a C average or better.
