Advertiser Staff
The rewards were significant for Hilo High's boys and girls soccer teams for going unbeaten in the Big Island Interscholastic Federation's 13-game regular-season.
The Vikings earned berths in next month's state tournaments and free passes into the semifinals of the BIIF tournaments that start on Wednesday.
And should either Hilo team fail to win the tournament, it get another shot at the tournament winner for the overall Big Island championship.
Six of the 14 teams in each gender qualified for the tournament.
