Focus on parenting strategies

Parents who want guidance on how to deal effectively with children who bend the rules, seem detached or get their feelings hurt easily can learn helpful strategies at "The Magical Kingdom of Parenting in the Land of Oz and Personality Styles," a workshop offered by the Kaiser Lifestyle Program, 5 to 9 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Kaiser Honolulu Clinic.

"It's going to cover the differences in personality styles being gifts, not deficiencies," said workshop instructor Linda Shiraishi.
