Newlyweds
Kathleen Matsuda, daughter of Kenneth and Takako Matsuda of Kane'ohe, and Donald Steul, son of William and Judith Steul of Brookline, Mass., were married Nov. 2 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Kula. The bride (1980 Castle High, 1984 University of Hawai'i bachelor's), now Kathleen Steul, is formerly of Kane'ohe. The groom (Massachusetts Institute of Technology master's), is formerly of Harvard, Mass. They live in San Francisco.
Rae McCorkle, daughter of Rosemary and Allan McCorkle of Jacksonville, Fla., and Edward D. Sultan III, son of Carroll and Edward D. Sultan Jr. of Honolulu, were married Sept. 1 at Central Union Church. The reception followed at O'ahu Country Club. The bride, now Rae McCorkle Sultan, formerly of Jacksonville, is a partner at a law firm. The groom (Punahou School) is the the chief executive officer of a business. They live in Honolulu.
Engagements
Leigh An Crow and Eric D. Coplin have announced their engagement. Crow, of Kailua, formerly of Anthony, Kan., is the daughter of Linda and Jerry Vossberg of Edgemont, S.D., and Merle Crow and Linda Folds of Curtis, Wash. Crow is a journalist. Coplin, of Kailua, formerly of Flushing, Mich., is the son of Larry and Laraine Coplin of Fountain Hills, Ariz., and Carol and Larry Roy of Flushing. Coplin is a nuclear engineer in the Navy. They plan to be wed June 1 in Honolulu.
Claire Denise Guzman and Daniel Pimentel Jr. have announced their engagement. Guzman, of Honolulu, daughter of Calvin Guzman of Honolulu and Katherine Diaz of Cleveland, Ohio, is an accountant. Pimentel, of Honolulu, son of Debi Pimentel of Kaimuki and the late Daniel Pimentel Sr., is a representative for a music company. They plan to marry Feb. 24 in Honolulu.
Zylda Maria Serrano and Brian James Ashak have announced their engagement. Serrano, of Kapolei, is the daughter of Benjamin and Pacita Serrano of Kapolei. Ashak, of Makakilo, is the son of George and Lolita Ashak of Makakilo. They plan to be wed July 28 in Waikiki.
