• Hawai'i tropical fruit farmers are invited to a series of statewide meetings beginning Thursday to learn about, and provide feedback on, a proposed crop insurance program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The workshops are being held by the University of Hawai'i and consulting firm, AgriLogic.

• The University of Hawai'i-Manoa, Economics Department, will offer a free, public presentation on future prospects for the Hawaiian and Japanese economies.
