Jackson, Lileikis first in biathlon

Jodi Jackson won the women's division and Tom Lileikis finished first among the men's competitors in yesterday's Magic Island Biathlon.

Jackson, 24, completed the 2.5-mile run and 1-kilometer swim at Ala Moana Beach Park in 30 minutes, 50 seconds.

Lileikis, 35, finished in 29:57.1.

BASEBALL

• HPU splits: Derek Little homered and drove in four runs as Hawai'i Pacific split a doubleheader against Sonoma State with a 9-7 win at Hans L'Orange Park.

In the first game, Sonoma State scored seven runs in the top of the seventh inning to win 9-6.
