Cyanotech loss rose in quarter

Cyanotech revenues increased last quarter, but so did company losses. The Big Island aquaculture firm lost $940,000, or 5 cents per share, in the three months ended Dec. 31, up from year-earlier losses of $320,000, or 2 cents per share.
The losses came despite a 9 percent increase in sales to $1.9 million. Sales were boosted by a one-time $200,000 licensing payment from a distributor of Cyanotech products.
