Manaia Kawai Dalire-Moe of Kailua celebrated her first birthday with a lu'au given by her parents, Kapua Dalire and Tino Moe, Nov. 18 at He'eia State Park. Manaia was born Nov. 15, 2000.

Jason Michael Akihiro Elento of Kane'ohe celebrated his first birthday with a dinner party given by his parents, Wendell and Linda Elento, and his brothers, Kendell and Matthew, Jan. 9 at their residence. Jason was born Jan. 5, 2001.
