WAILUKU, Maui-- The main street through Wailuku town was expected to be closed for hours today while police await the arrival of an Army bomb disposal team from Honolulu to handle a package left behind by a bank robber.

The robbery occurred at 10:45 a.m. at the Main Street branch of Bank of Hawaii. Before fleeing, the bandit said he was leaving a bomb behind.

Police cordoned off two blocks on Main Street and diverted traffic to side streets.
