Mike McIntyre named WAC player of the week

Mike McIntyre, who came off the bench to spark two University of Hawai'i road victories, has been named the Western Athletic Conference player of the week, the conference announced today.

The senior from Long Beach, Calif., averaged 21.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in the wins over Rice and Tulsa.

Against Rice, McIntyre scored 20 points and hit 4-of-7 3-pointers. Against Tulsa, he had a career-high 22 points and hit 6-of-8 from 3-point range.
