Kahuku standout Mapu picks Tennessee

Kahuku defensive lineman Jonathan Mapu, the top-rated high school football prospect in Hawai'i, has decided to play football at the University of Tennessee, his coach said today.

Kahuku coach Siuaki Livai told The Advertiser that the 6-foot-3, 250-pound Mapu picked the southeastern conference school over Brigham Young, Washington and Hawai'i.

Mapu was recently named a Parade All-American.
