Mililani, Kalaheo reach soccer final

Mele French scored two goals last night as Mililani defeated Pearl City, 2-1, to advance to the championship match of the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Girls Soccer Tournament.

Carmen Calpo scored for Pearl City.

In the other semifinal played at Mililani High School, Kalaheo beat 'Aiea, 2-0, on goals by Brandi Benson and Lindsey Peck.

Mililani and Kalaheo play for the OIA championship Saturday night at Pearl City, starting at 7:30.

Elsewhere, Kailua and Campbell advanced to the fifth-place match of the OIA boys tournament with victories at Kailua.

Kailua beat 'Aiea, 1-0, on Keoni Crites' goal and Campbell defeated Radford, 3-1, with Michael Ryman scoring two goals and Christopher Kita one for the Sabers. Xeo Dao scored for Radford.

• Iolani triumphs: Iolani blitzed St. Francis, 5-0, yesterday in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu match at Kapi'olani Park.

Keri Oyadomari scored two goals, and Erin Young, Kara Ishikawa and Mari Kasamoto one apiece.
