Mililani basketball edges Leilehua to stay unbeaten

Simeon Tavares scored 12 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter as third-ranked Mililani remained unbeaten with a hard-fought 69-60 victory over host Leilehua.

Rashaun Broadus scored a game-high 20 points for the Trojans, who improved to 9-0 in O'ahu Interscholastic Association boys basketball.

Derrick Thomas scored 17 points and Zacarius Rivera 13 for Leilehua, which trailed just 52-51 entering the four quarter.
