Man injured in Wahiawa incident

A man was injured last night in Wahiawa when two men with whom he was arguing allegedly pursued him in a car and hit him.

The victim, 20, told police that the fight broke out at about 10:15 p.m. on Milikana Place. He fled on his bike, but the suspects allegedly followed him in a black sedan and hit him.

Ambulance crews treated the victim at the scene for cuts to his left shin area, police said.

Man sought in shooting at home

Police are seeking a man in connection with a shooting late last night on Booth Road.

The man, described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and 220 pounds, allegedly entered the victim's home at 10:20 p.m., pointed a gun at a visitor there and then burst into the victim's room and shot him.

The victim was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in serious condition, according to police. An updated condition report was not available from hospital staff.

Police have opened an investigation into potential attempted murder, terroristic threatening and burglary charges. The suspect was wearing a ski mask, black jacket, knee-length shorts and carried a silver handgun.

Charges pending in alleged assault

Police have released a 51-year-old man who allegedly assaulted his former girlfriend and slashed her with a knife Friday in Kane‘ohe.

Police are continuing their investigation but said the woman was buying a soft drink from a vending machine at 4 a.m. near the intersection of Kamehameha Highway and Mahinui Road when the suspect allegedly grabbed her from behind.

The suspect then allegedly punched and slapped her before throwing her to the ground and slashing her arm.

The victim, 49, has a temporary restraining order against the suspect, police said. She was treated at Castle Memorial Medical Center and released.
