Kaimuki to get new burger shop

The owner of restaurants Auntie Pasto's and Dixie Grill is getting into the fast-food business with plans to open a burger and ice cream shop in Kaimuki this month.

Ed Wary has partnered with Jim Hamachek, director of operations for Auntie Pasto's and Dixie Grill, to open Eddies Burgers & Frozen Custard at 3607 Wai'alae Ave., near 12th Avenue. The burgers will be made with Angus beef from Parker Ranch on the Big Island. The frozen custard will be made fresh daily and packaged for take-out.
