Brushfires keeping fire department busy

Honolulu firefighters were called to four brushfires today and have brought them under control, Fire Department spokesman Capt. Richard Soo said.Six fire companies were called to a brushfire at Ma'ili Point at 12:10 p.m., but by 1 p.m. had the fire under control and some companies were being sent back, Soo said. There was no report of structures being threatened.
Firefighters also went to a 12:20 p.m. alarm for a small brushfire off Paahihi Street in Waialua, Soo said.
In addition, firefighters put out two small brushfires in Wai'anae today, Soo said.
