• "State of Grace," 5 p.m., ABC Family Channel. ABC Family airs a new episode of this comedy each Monday in July, beginning this week (repeats follow at 5:30 p.m.) The series, set in 1960s North Carolina, tracks the friendship of Hannah and Grace, very different young girls who manage to find common ground for themselves and their families.

• "The Horse Whisperer," 8 p.m. ABC. Robert Redford produced, directed and stars in the 1998 movie, based on Nicholas Evans' novel about a Montana horseman who has a special gift. Kristin Scott Thomas ("The English Patient") also stars.
