Advertiser Staff

D.R. Horton, Inc., which bought Honolulu-based Schuler Homes in February, said today it had its highest net sales in company history in the quarter ended June 30.

Net sales at the Texas-based company increased 68 percent to $2.0 billion, or 9,065 homes, in the quarter, compared to $1.2 billion, or 6,014 homes for the same quarter a year ago.

Taking out the newly acquired businesses, including Schuler and Emerald Homes, sales were up 22 percent in the quarter, the company said.

D.R. Horton bought Schuler Homes, for $1.2 billion after Schuler recorded an annual profit of $15 million over the past nine years.
