MAUI

Prostate cancer screening offered

KAHULUI, Maui — Free prostate cancer screening will be conducted from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Masonic Lodge at 190 W. Kamehameha Ave. in Kahului.

The screenings are recommended for men age 50 and older and for those with a history of prostate cancer.

The event is sponsored by Clinical Labs of Hawai'i, the American Cancer Society and Maui Memorial Medical Center.

Napili project under way

NAPILI, Maui — Work began this week on a walkway at Napili Park in West Maui.

The project includes construction of a 5-foot-wide concrete and asphalt walkway, with railings where necessary, from the end of Kohi Street to Pualu Loop; construction of concrete sidewalks and ramps; and installation of a speed hump on Maiha Street at the crosswalk to the park.
