Viloria to fight Olympian July 26

Alberto Rossel, a former Pan American Games champion and Olympian, will be Brian Viloria's July 26 opponent on ESPN2.
The scheduled 10-round flyweight bout will be held in West Virginia and open the televised card, according to Gary Gittelsohn, Viloria's manager.
Rossel is 7-3 with five knockouts, Gittelsohn said. He represented Peru in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. Because Rossel is 27, Viloria's World Boxing Council youth flyweight title will not be riding on the bout. Youth titles are open to fighters 23 and under.
Last year Rossel knocked down Ivan Calderon before losing a six round decision. Calderon upset Viloria in the semifinals of the Americas Olympic qualifying tournament in 2000. Viloria avenged the loss in the 2000 USA-Puerto Rico dual meet.
Viloria, a 2000 U. S. Olympian from Waipahu, is 8-0 with 6 knockouts.
