Race for cure applications available

Applications are available for the eighth annual Susan G. Komen Hawai'i Race for the Cure.

The event, which will feature a 5K race and a 1-mile walk, will be Sept. 29 at Kapi'olani Park. The run will begin at 7:30 a.m., while the walk will follow 15 minutes later.

Registration is $18 ($25 after Sept. 20) with groups of five or more mailed together costing $15 each ($22 after Sept. 20).
