Kanazawa leaves post at Coldwell company

Advertiser Staff

Longtime Hawai'i commercial real estate executive Chris Kanazawa has left Coldwell Banker Commercial Pacific Properties, where he was president for almost two years.

Kanazawa could not be reached for comment, but a Coldwell Banker representative said Kanazawa has restarted his own real estate consulting firm in Honolulu, a business he operated for two years before joining Coldwell Banker.

The company said Kanazawa left for personal reasons, but will be retained as a consultant. The real estate veteran is credited with getting Coldwell Banker Commercial Pacific moving forward after it was established in 1998.

C. Scott Bradley, co-managing director of Coldwell Banker's local residential real estate business, will serve as president of Coldwell Banker Commercial Pacific. Chris Wagner will continue as principal broker and executive director.

Kanazawa is a former president of Amfac/JMB-Hawaii's real estate division and held a variety of positions at Amfac/JMB and its predecessor from 1981 to 1998. He was considered among finalists to replace ousted trustees of Kamehameha Schools in 2000.
