Taking things too literally
Our son Josh loves to follow his daddy around the yard, doing everything he does, pretending to mow the lawn, trim the hedges and fertilize the plants. He once asked my husband why fertilizing is important. My husband explained to him that it helps things grow and multiply.
Recently we found a bunch of fertilizer sprinkled in the Josh's toy box. So we asked him to explain.
Josh said, "I wanted my toys to grow."
