Philippine airstrip opens

A Philippine Air Force C-130 military transport plane lands on the newly reconstructed airstrip at Isabela, the capital of the island province in Basilan in the southern Philippines. The airstrip opened on Saturday. More than 1,000 American troops, advisers and engineers are on their last week of their deployment in the southern Philippines to train and advise their Philippine counterparts in their fight against Muslim extremists.
