Wie finishes 7th at Junior PGA

Honolulu's Michelle Wie shot a final round 2-under-par 69 to finish tied for seventh at the Westfield Junior PGA Championship on Saturday at Westfield Center, Ohio.

Wie, 12, finished at 5-over-par 289, 20 shots behind medalist Sung Ea Lee of Tacoma, Wash.

Lee, 19, shot a final round 66, finishing six-strokes ahead of second-place In-Bee Park of Eustis, Fla. Lee had six birdies and one bogey in her final round.

Lee's 15-under 269 is a 72-hole Junior PGA Championship record.

Hilo's Kristen Higa shot a final-round 78, and finished at 306 at the Westfield Group Country Club.

In the boys championship, Tyler Aldridge, 17, of Nampa, Idaho, shot a 1-over 72 to finish at 6-under 278 for the title.

Lee and Aldridge scored wire-to-wire victories.

Aldridge's final round included three birdies, two bogeys and one double-bogey.

Adam Porzak of Poway, Calif., finished one-stroke behind Aldridge after a 68.

Koa Furtado of Kailua shot a final round 71 for a 305. Shaun Felechner of Lahaina, Maui, shot a 75 and finished at 309.

BOX CAR RACING

• Fund-raiser set: The Mayor's Cup Celebrity Challenge Box Car Race, a fund-raiser for the Hawai'i Nature Center and the American Box Car Racing International, will be Aug. 3 at the ABCRI's track on Acacia Road in Pearl City.

ABCRI racers begin racing at 3 p.m. The celebrity races and Mayor's Cup begin at 6:30 p.m.

Fee for ABCRI races is $10 for drivers, $5 for family members. Spectators are free.
