Tourist reports Waikiki holdup
A 35-year-old tourist told police last night that he was held up at a Waikiki ATM machine by a man who had just helped him find the machine.
The victim, who had just arrived in Waikiki, said he asked a man where to find a machine. After pointing out the machine at an ABC Store at Kalakaua and Kapahulu avenues, the robber allegedly demanded the $20 withdrawn and displayed what appeared to be a silver knife.
The victim said he followed the robber and another man who joined him but fled after a further confrontation with the suspects.
Police later arrested two men, one 29 and the other 30.
