TIP-OFF
Hard-rocking blues guitarists to play Hawai'i

By Wayne Harada
Advertiser Entertainment Writer

Dave Hole, a blues bloke from Down Under who plays a blistering slide guitar, will headline a Summertime Blues Festival to be staged in Honolulu and at two Big Island sites.

Hole, an Alligator Records star, is noted for his hurricane-force blues-rock performances in Australia.

His co-star will be Sean Costello, an Atlanta guitar player also known for his hot licks, who records for Landslide. If fan reaction is a yardstick, he is the wave of the future of blues.

The event, organized by Blue Rooster Productions, is themed "From Hot Slidin' Steel to Soulful Molasses Drippin' Blues," because of the fiery intensity of both performers.
