Islanders close season with win over Frenzy

The Hawaiian Islanders' first season in arenafootball2 ended how it began: with a victory over the Fresno Frenzy.
Darnell Arceneaux passed for four touchdowns and ran for another score to lead the Islanders to a 46-36 victory at Fresno, Calif., last night.
The Islanders (5-11) finished third in the four-team National Conference West Division, ahead of the Frenzy (4-12). The top two teams (Bakersfield and San Diego) in the division advance to the playoffs.
An announced crowd of 5,896 attended last night's game at Selland Arena.
Arceneaux completed 18 of 30 passes for 238 yards.
Mike Tillis caught seven passes for 89 yards and a touchdown and Nian Taylor caught five passes for 78 yards and two scores for the Islanders.
The Islanders and Frezny played a tight first two quarters, exchanging touchdowns until Hawai'i took the lead for a good at 21-20 on a 2-yard run by Chris Paogofie with 5:47 remaining in the second quarter.
The Islanders built a 31-20 lead on a 34-yard field goal by Kimo Naehu with five second remaining in the second quarter and a 5-yard touchdown pass from Arceneaux to Taulia Lave with 12:01 to go in the third quarter.
The Frenzy closed to 31-28 on a 4-yard touchdown pass from Kenny Rose to Ahmad Bhatti and a two-point conversion.
Arceneaux then threw touchdown passes of 19 and 12 yards to Taylor to give the Islanders a 43-28 lead with 13:45 remaining in the fourth quarter.
