THE LEFT LANE
Spam for McBreakfast

Advertiser Staff

Spam and eggs, a breakfast staple in Hawai'i, is coming to all McDonald's restaurants Friday. With rice, of course.

Five sites — Waiakamilo, Ke'eaumoku, Makiki, Wahiawa and Kane'ohe — are now test-marketing the new menu item, which was quietly introduced about two weeks ago.

Hawai'i is said to be the Spam-consuming champ of the world, so McSpam is expected to be as popular, maybe more so, than Portuguese sausage, eggs and rice, which stays on the menu.

Lotion makes a commotion

Is a lotion capable of more than just slather and scents? LikeLotion Ultimate Spa Leg and Foot Moisturizer puts the fizz in foam. As you rub the foam into your skin, it begins to snap-crackle-pop — you can actually hear it — before quickly turning into a greaseless lotion with mint and aloe. Need a scrub instead? LikePumice uses the same effervescent action to buff away dry skin. Each cost $13.50 at Image, A Beauty Emporium & Salon, 126 Queen St., Suite 101.
