Driver spared in crash near Makakilo

A 36-year-old man escaped injury yesterday when his Honolulu-bound Pacific Trucking tractor-trailer overturned on the H-1 Freeway onramp near Makakilo at about 11:15 a.m., firefighters said. Firefighters cleaned the roadway of diesel fuel, motor oil and dirt. An investigation on what caused the accident is under way, police said.
