Lana'i resorts get president

Castle & Cooke Inc. announced yesterday the appointment of Gerrit C. Cormany to the position of president, Castle & Cooke Resorts LLC.

Cormany's responsibilities will include the management, operation and development of all activities on the Island of Lana'i, including the island's 25-room Manele Bay Hotel, the 102-room Lodge at Koele, two championship golf courses, and a community of luxury homes.

Before joining Castle & Cooke, Cormany was responsible for the development and operations of a 5,000-acre, high-end recreational community of Las Campanas in Santa Fe, N.M.
