Carjacking suspect, companion arrested

TAYLOR: Fugitive awaiting kidnap trial
Police arrested two fugitives yesterday in Waikiki. One was a 23-year-old man wanted for questioning in a Mo'ili'ili carjacking in April.

David James Taylor and Jennifer Cabaccang were arrested in a stolen car, police said.

Taylor was wanted on a $35,000 warrant for violating his supervised release in a kidnapping case that is pending trial.

Cabaccang was wanted on a $25,000 warrant for violating her supervised release in cases involving fraudulent use of a credit card and second-degree theft.

Police said they wanted to question Taylor in connection with the April 23 robbery of a woman who was pushed from her car while stopped at a light at the intersection of University and Kapi'olani at 5:30 a.m.

The man then drove the car 'ewa-bound on Kapi'olani Boulevard.

The car was recovered April 24 opposite 23 Prospect Street.
