United begins Kona-S.F. flight

United Airlines began its second daily flight between Kona and San Francisco yesterday, the company said. The new flight using a Boeing 757 will have 182 passenger seats.

Flight 36 will depart from Kona at 10 p.m. and arrive in San Francisco at 5:50 a.m. the next day. Flight 37 will depart from San Francisco at 4:40 p.m. and arrive in Kona at 6:56 p.m.

In addition to the two flights linking Kona with San Francisco, United offers two flights between Kona and Los Angeles, another United hub.


Z-Interiors opens store

C.S. Wo & Sons yesterday opened a Z-Interiors store at Ala Moana Center with nearly 10,000 square feet of showroom space.

This is the fourth Z-Interiors store in Hawai'i, the company said. It features contemporary furniture.
