Double homicide investigated at Pearl Harbor housing

A sailor's wife and mother-in-law were found dead at Hokulani Housing after the sailor turned himself into Navy security personnel today.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service is leading the probe into what the Navy called a double homicide.

Navy public affairs said in a press release that three childrren in the family were taken into custody by the Navy's Family Advocacy Program and transferred to the state Child Protective Services.

The name of the sailor and the deceased were being withheld until relatives can be notified.

The city Medical Examiner's Office will be performing autopsies on the victims.
