A 67-year-old bank executive was indicted by an O'ahu grand jury on criminal charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl at his downtown Honolulu apartment June 6.
Alfred Robert Gross faces three counts of first-degree sexual assault and three counts of third-degree sexual assault.
Circuit Judge Daniel Kochi ordered that Gross' bail remain at $25,000. City deputy prosecutor Myron Takemoto said Gross had posted bail earlier in the case.
Police said Gross' wife struck up a friendship with the girl while both were doing volunteer work. They said the wife asked the girl if she wanted to earn some money by doing chores at the Gross' Honolulu Tower apartment at 60 N. Beretania St., and the girl agreed.
Police said the girl told her mother about the incident. The mother then notified authorities.
