Chamber names permanent CEO

The board of the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii has voted to have James Tollefson be the organization's president and chief executive officer on a permanent basis.

Tollefson had been acting president and CEO since Sept. 1, following the resignation of Stanley Hong.

He has served on the board since 1994, and was board chairman in 1999.


Mac farm giving 5 cent dividend

ML Macadamia Orchards L.P. announced a quarterly cash distribution of 5 cents per Class A Unit to shareholders of record as of June 28.

The second-quarter distribution will be paid Aug. 15 and marks the partnership's 65th consecutive quarterly dividend. The partnership's previous quarterly distribution was also 5 cents. Big Island-based Macadamia Orchards is the world's largest macadamia nut grower.
