Advertiser News Services

The Atlanta Falcons signed nine-year veteran and former University of Hawai'i defensive tackle Maa Tanuvasa yesterday.

The team also announced the signings of sixth-round draft pick Kahlil Hill and seventh-round pick Kevin Shaffer.

Tanuvasa, 6 feet 2 and 270 pounds, played for the Denver Broncos from 1995 through 2000. The Mililani High graduate began his career with the Los Angeles Rams and has also played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and, most recently, the San Diego Chargers.

Hill is a wide receiver who played at Iowa, and Shaffer is an offensive tackle out of Tulsa.
