FUN HOUSE
Buckled up for a good reason
My daughter, Amber, was around 7 years old when Hawai'i began to require the use of automobile seat belts. Each time we got in the car, I would remind her that she had to put on her seat belt because it was the law.
Her respect for authority soon became apparent when she announced that she knew why policemen had guns. When I asked her to explain, she replied, "So they can shoot little kids who don't wear their seat belts."
