ANN BOTTICELLI, KITV-4 weekend co-anchor and "Money Report" reporter, will join public-relations firm Communications Pacific as vice president July 15. Botticelli, who has also worked for The Honolulu Advertiser, KHON-2, KHVH 830 AM Newsradio and the Associated Press, has covered city and state government, business and consumer issues, and is a Midweek columnist.

GERRIT C. CORMANY has been named president of Castle & Cooke Inc. subsidiary Castle & Cooke Resorts LLC. His responsibilities will include management, operation and development of all activities on Lana'i, including the island's 25-room Manele Bay Hotel, the 102-room Lodge at Ko'ele, two golf courses, and a community of luxury homes. Cormany is former executive vice president and general manager of the 5,000-acre, high-end recreational community of Las Campanas in Santa Fe, N.M.

GORO HOKAMA, retired Maui County Council chairman, and volunteer chairman of the board of the Lana'i Federal Credit Union, has been installed as chairman of the HAWAI'I CREDIT UNION LEAGUE, trade association for 101 credit unions in Hawai'i and Guam. Other members installed at the group's 64th annual convention in Waikoloa include: vice chairman, Ronald Ogata, of HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union, Honolulu; secretary, Frederico Asuncion, Maui County Employees Federal Credit Union, Wailuku; and treasurer, Michael Asam, Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union, Kealakekua. New directors include Mel Chiba, Kauai Community Federal Credit Union, Lihue; Janet Rychener, Ka'u Federal Credit Union, Ka'u; and Sylvia Young, manager, Medicredit Federal Credit Union, Honolulu.

MARY HAMMOND, former associate dean and director of the English Foundations Program at Hawai'i Pacific University, has been named dean of the university's newest department, the International Center, established to oversee international recruiting, admissions, student services, and marketing. The new department will also serve as a point of contact for international development and visiting foreign delegations.

• Also named at HPU was J. WILLIAM POTTER JR., assistant professor of English as a Second Language, as new dean of the English Foundations Program, responsible for operation of the Proficiency in English, and English Foundations programs.

JOHN J. TONER, for the past decade general manager of the 548-room luxury Maui hotel, The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua, has been named vice president of the KO 'OLINA RESORT ASSOCIATION, an affiliation of resortwide businesses within the Leeward O'ahu resort and marina. Toner will supervise operations of resort management, direct branding and marketing of the resort's collective entities, and pursue new development within the resort.

SAM K. YEE has been promoted to senior vice president and general counsel for Finance Enterprises Ltd., parent company of the Finance Factors family of businesses: Finance Factors, Finance Insurance, Finance Realty and Finance Investment. Yee will oversee legal matters and assist with strategic planning for the company. He also will continue to serve as the company's community Reinvestment Act officer.

• Registered nurse JOANNE IRITANI has been named director of patient and nursing services of the 271-bed Big Island Hilo Medical Center. She is a 15-year veteran in the nursing profession, specializing in oncology.

• Three new vice presidents have been named at Central Pacific Bank:

WILLIAM "JERRY" MANN, former vice president and group leader at First Hawaiian Bank, appointed senior trust officer, CPB Trust Services, responsible for developing and administering trust, probate and agency accounts.

JAMY HAGEN, named manager of CPB's Financial Services, overseeing development of a team of officers charged with building customer relationships. Hagen is a former vice president and team leader with Bank of Hawai'i.

LISA GOO, also in CPB Financial Services Department.

AHMAD C.K. YU, former general manager of Hawaiian Host Papaya in Hilo in the 1980s and 1990s, has returned after a five-year absence as a member of the parent company's management team. Yu is new product innovation manager for the manufacturer of Hawaiian Host Chocolates, overseeing product development and innovations, and quality assurance.

JOY KONO has been named purchasing manager for The Kamehameha Schools, overseeing all procurement, including development of procurement practices and procedures. Kono is also treasurer of the Hawai'i Farm Bureau Federation, and past State Farm Fair co-chairwoman.

HAL BRUSTER, formerly of KGMB radio and TV, and Milici Advertising, has returned to Hawai'i to establish a Maui bureau for Gib Black Advertising Group. During his absence, Bruster was founder of a San Francisco area advertising agency, later acquired by The Evans Group.
