Burger King to stay in Waikiki
The Hawai'i Burger King franchisee selling most of its roughly 20 local restaurants as part of a bankruptcy reorganization said it will retain its Waikiki store at Kalakaua Avenue and Lewers Street, after it was unable to sell the property at a Tuesday auction.
Cimm's Inc., which filed for Chapter 11 last year, listed the leasehold property for $2 million. The Glendale, Calif.-based company said it will maintain the Burger King restaurant on the site.
