Four arrested in Kapolei incidentPolice arrested two men and two women yesterday in connection with a Kapolei supermarket shoplifting episode that turned into a robbery case when one suspect pointed an electric stun gun at a security guard.
The women allegedly entered the Kapolei Safeway store, 590 Farrington Highway, at 3:45 p.m. and deposited several items in a black bag.
A security guard approached them as they left, police said, but a vehicle pulled up and one of the male suspects allegedly got out of the car and pointed the stun gun at the guard.
Suspect in robbery, assault turns self in
The first suspect in a group that robbed and assaulted a Kalani High School student last month has turned himself in, a surrender that police expect to produce more arrests.
The student, 15, told police he was walking home from school May 10 when he was accosted by a man and three other juvenile males at the intersection of Kalaniana'ole Highway and Laukahi Street.
The group allegedly took cash from his pocket and ordered him to remove his shoes. When the victim refused, the suspects allegedly assaulted him.
