• A California man who died in a bicycle accident at Haleakala National Park was on a tour with Mountain Riders, not Maui Mountain Riders. Because of incorrect information from police, a Local News story posted Monday and one on Tuesday referred to the wrong company.

• Benjamin Parker Elementary School in Honolulu and the Lahaina Civic Center and Wailuku Community Center on Maui will be used as polling places this year. Because of incorrect information from the state Office of Elections, a Local News story posted Friday said those polling places had been closed.

• Cornetist John Norris performed at the Waikiki Community Center. His obituary on posted yesterday referred to a different facility.

• In 1944, military officials ordered the Japanese-American 100th Infantry Battalion to stop outside Rome so that a white unit would be the first to enter the city. A biography of Spark Matsunaga, who fought with the 100th, will not be available at a memorial service for the unit this week. An island Life story posted Monday had the wrong information because of reporting and editing errors.
