Punahou grad, venture capitalist DANIEL CASE, 44, died June 26, 2002. Born in Honolulu, the Rhodes scholar graduated from Punahou School and earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Princeton University. Case is survived by his wife, Stacey Black Case, and his four children, Alexander, Winston, John Daniel and Charlotte. In addition, he leaves his parents, Dan and Carol Case, his brothers Steve and Jeff, and his sister, Carin. Funeral services will be held at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco July 2 at 3:30 p.m. The family has asked that any gifts in Case's honor be made to ABC2. The family, which is in San Francisco, had not yet planned a Honolulu service.

SANTOS "MICKEY" AUGUSTO, 77, of Wailua, Kaua'i, died April 25, 2002. Born in Hanamaulu, Kaua'i. Laborer for Lihue Plantation. Survived by daughter, Alberta Lanoza Sr.; son, Van; stepsons, Carnel Macloves, Glen Augusto and Niel Augusto; granddaughters, Jolene Caday and Adriane Tomacder; grandson, William Lanoza Jr. Visitation 9 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at St. Catherine's Church in Kapa'a; Mass 10 a.m. Inurnment to follow at the church cemetery. ALICE COVELL BENDER, 74, of Honolulu, died June 24, 2002. Born in Chicago, Ill. Retired librarian for the state of Hawai'i and a resident of "One Kalakaua Senior Living" since 1997.
