• LYNNE KANESHIRO, president and chief executive officer of Island Title Corp., has been named steering committee chairwoman for this year's 46th annual Building Industry Association New Parade Of Homes, planned for October. Returning as committee heads for this year's annual showcase of Hawai'i's home-building industry will be DONNA TOMITA, director of marketing for Castle & Cooke Homes Hawai'i, marketing chairwoman; Rusty Rasmussen, manager for Castle & Cooke Mortgage, sales committee head; and Nicki Ann Thompson, executive vice president, Hawai'i Association of Realtors, overseeing the banquet committee. Also named were Gerald Tanaka, builder manager for North American Mortgage Co., golf committee head; and Mary Flood, vice president, sales and marketing for Schuler Homes Inc., the sponsor chair. • EDWARD B. IRVINE, former director of facilities service, and of design and construction, for the Hawaii region of the Kaiser Permanente Health Plan, has joined property and construction consulting firm Rider Hunt Levett & Bailey. As new cost manager, Irvine will assist owners, design professionals, lenders and contractors in the cost, time and quality control of projects. Before joining the company, the 13-year industry veteran was president and chief executive officer of C.I.M. Management Group Ltd., a construction/project management corporation.

• TYLER M. TOKIOKA, who recently oversaw renovations of Island Insurance's main offices at 1022 Bethel St., has been named assistant vice president/director of office services, for the locally owned property and casualty insurance company. Before joining Island Insurance, Tokioka was assistant to the general manager of Atlas Insurance Agency, and a property manager.

• MICHELLE BUSBEE, formerly senior account executive with Stryker Weiner & Yokota Public Relations Inc., has been named account supervisor in the corporate group of Communications-Pacific Inc. (COMM-PAC), communications and marketing consultancy. Busbee is experienced in the areas of crisis communications and issues management, media and presentation training, and media relations/publicity programs. She was the winner last year of the first Hokupa'a Award conferred by the Public Relations Society of America, Hawai'i chapter, and is president-elect of the local chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.

• WESLEY K. YAMAMOTO, former associate vice president of investments for PRUDENTIAL SECURITIES in Honolulu, has been promoted to vice president of investments. The 23-year business veteran is former president of Gray Line Hawai'i.

• LINDA GEE, vice president of PM Realty Group, has been elected president of the local chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management, the professional association of certified property managers. Other officers include president-elect, JEFFREY MAU of Outrigger Hotels Hawai'i; treasurer, TONI COFRAN of PM Realty Group; and secretary, RALPH FOULGER of Chaney, Brooks & Co.

• STEPHEN HINCK has been promoted from director of event management, to director of food and beverage, for the JW Marriott 'Ihilani Resort and Spa, overseeing the property's food-and-beverage operations — including Azul Restaurant, the Poolside Grill and Hokule'a Lounge, banquets and special events. Before 'Ihilani, Hinck was with the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

• Society of Financial Service Professionals, Hawai'i chapter, 2001-2002 board of directors: LARRY YAMADA, president; Russell LO, president-elect; RONALD OKADA, secretary; and JOHN ENOMOTO, treasurer.

• Charles Schwab & Co. Inc. has promoted two employees to branch managers: KATHY LUM, new Kahala branch, and COLLEEN BLACKTIN, downtown.

• DAVID "CHINO" W. HAYNES has been named operating head and vice president of the new SUPERIOR SOLID SURFACE general contracting company and Honolulu showroom, specializing in kitchen, bath and other application of surfacing materials, including Corian. He was previously foreman with Pacific Counter Top.

• MORTGAGE CONNECTIONS new loan officers: JAMES MARTIN, returning to the company as executive assistant/loan officer; BETSY MORIOKA, formerly of Hawai'i U.S.A. Federal Credit Union and Bank of Hawaii; LYLE TOYOMURA, a 10-year sales and marketing veteran; TIM HALLER, formerly with Home Street Bank; JUDY GERVIN, formerly of East O'ahu Realty; ANDREW ANIYA, formerly of Summit Lending; MICHAEL KIM, sales manager; and loan officers JOANNA KIM and MICHAEL PARRY.
