Presentations study women's many roles

In recognition of Women's History Month, Leeward Community College is hosting a series of presentations on gender, sexuality and culture, all free and open to the public.

The first session, "Work and Family: Hawai'i Women's Historic Balancing Act," is today at 1:30 p.m. in Room BE 103. It includes a short video, "Into the Marketplace: Working-Class Women in 20th-Century Hawai'i," followed by a discussion with documentarian Teresa Bill. For a complete schedule, call 455-0527.

Cast a vote for your favorite Huxtable kid

Will it be Vanessa or Denise, Rudy or Theo? Nick at Nite is celebrating the addition of NBC's beloved '80s sitcom "The Cosby Show" to its prime-time line-up this week by asking viewers to vote online for their favorite Huxtable kid. The network has been airing four-hour "My Favorite Huxtable" marathons of The Cos all week between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. The Huxtable offspring who receives the most votes will be featured in an evening's worth of shows on Friday.
