UH beats Nevada to play for WAC title

Predrag Savovic scored 29 of his 31 points in the first half, helping the University of Hawai'i men's basketball team beat Nevada, 90-68, and advance to tomorrow's Western Athletic Conference Tournament championship in Tulsa, Okla.

Savovic hit 6 of 11 3-point attempts as UH took a 48-32 halftime lead.

UH (26-5) will play for the tournament title and an automatic NCAA Tournament berth for the second consecutive year.

The defending WAC Tournament champion Rainbow Warriors will face the winner of the Tulsa-Fresno State game that was played later Friday.
